Auckland Flooding – Important Information

By Sandra Grammer

Overnight, Auckland experienced unprecedented rainfall resulting in widespread flooding and building leaks across the City. Under the State of Emergency, the Civil Defence recommends staying home (if safe to) and only travelling if essential.

We have contacted all our tenants to let them know that their safety is paramount and to please contact their Property Manager with any concerns or if we can help with their immediate situation in any way.

Once the weather subsides, we will be on-site to address the situation. In the meantime, we have requested tenants document the situation (take photos and videos) of any flooding or water leaks and let their Property Manager know of any damage.

We have also advised tenants that in the event of roof leaks, they should try to contain the water as best as possible. If they experience water coming through light fittings, we have advised them not to use the lights in these areas until they have been inspected by a suitably qualified professional.

If your property has been impacted, we will be in touch as soon as possible. Please feel free to contact your property manager with any concerns.

Stay Safe,
The Ray White Taylor Rentals team
